What this book is
This is the calculation book. The rest of the family describes drugs, ranges, priorities and procedures. This one does arithmetic, out loud, with the units left on the page where you can see them cancel. Nothing here is a summary of a method. Every method is run on real numbers, and every number printed in this book was worked twice, independently, from the problem statement alone.

- Convert between any two units the exam uses, in either direction, without guessing which way the decimal moves.
- Solve a single-dose problem three ways and say how each method fails.
- Compute a pump rate in mL/hr and a gravity rate in gtt/min from the same order, and tell from the stem which one the item wants.

Two conventions this book never breaks
Every numeral carries a leading zero when it is smaller than one, and no numeral ever carries a zero after the last meaningful digit. Units, micrograms and drug names are spelled out in full. No abbreviation from the ISMP Do-Not-Use list appears anywhere in this book, including inside the figures.
